GORINCHEM – Due to the consequences of the Covid-19 measures, the upcoming edition of Trade fair Recycling will be moved to 16, 17 and 18 November 2021 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. “The Dutch government makes a distinction between trade fairs and other events. Even in the current circumstances, events can and may continue. At the same time, we see the strong growth in infections within the last week and that the measures announced on October 13 for The Netherlands are aimed at minimizing personal contacts and travel movements. This partial lockdown causes too much concern about the willingness to visit and the health of the exhibitors, visitors and own employees. That is why we have decided, in close consultation with the stakeholders, to postpone Vakbeurs Recycling to November 2021, ”says Bas van Gent on behalf of Trade fair Recycling.
Location is declared safe
The confidence to be able to hold Vakbeurs Recycling this year was great. The first events were held after the summer and to the satisfaction of visitors and exhibitors. To make this possible in a responsible manner, a preventive protocol has been drawn up with various measures. All health and safety protocols for Evenementenhal Gorinchem were successfully audited in September by SGS, the world leader in inspection, control and certification. Van Gent: “This positive check confirms that our location offers a safe place for the waste industry to meet and do business. Sentiment among most of the exhibitors was still good. Unfortunately, the second wave also crosses this beautiful stock market. We expect that visitors will be more likely to stay away due to the recent measures. We thus see that the number of pre-registrations has stagnated since the last press conference. ”
Top edition in 2021 as a new target
Trade fair Recycling will take place next November as usual in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. “We will be contacting all exhibitors and parties involved in the coming period and will do everything we can to make the relocation as smooth as possible. They are the basis for a super edition next year. We thank all parties who have supported us so much in the past period. Their involvement and loyalty have strengthened us for sure. We look forward to the 2021 edition with great enthusiasm, so that we can get the most out of it together with all of them.” says Van Gent.
About Trade fair Recycling
Trade fair Recycling is the Dutch national network moment for the waste and raw materials chain. The trade fair focuses on recycling technology and waste management and thus attracts visitors from recycling companies, construction and demolition companies, municipalities, government, industry, waste collectors and companies with large waste flows. The organization of Trade fair Recycling can look back on a very successful edition in 2019, in which both the range of exhibitors and the number of visitors grew by almost 15%. At least as important was the growth in visitor satisfaction. The Recycling trade fair will take place on 16, 17 and 18 November 2021 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem.
