The number of solar panels in use is rapidly increasing in the Netherlands, with many older panels being replaced by higher-capacity models to meet growing energy demands. ZonNext believes this trend leads to unnecessary waste, as solar panels have a long lifespan but are often recycled at a low value. To address this, Stichting ZonNext re-inspects and repurposes used and surplus solar panels, giving them a new social purpose and preventing them from ending up in landfills unnecessarily. Niels van Olffen will tell the story of his foundation, \u2018the orphanage of solar panels\u2019.
